Kyle is a big brother

Nathan has been home for two weeks. So far Kyle has become louder, but still deesn't know what to think. Every time Nathan cries, Kyle says "Mommy, feed him!"

Kyle's bed part 2

Kyle was climbing on his new bed and decided to get in bed over the footboard. He got caught on his stomach and it hurt a little so I told him it would be easier if he went around to get in bed. He looked at me, confused, then started turning in circles!

Kyle's Toddler Bed

We have one more week until Kyle's little brother is here!
Jay recently set up the toddler bed for Kyle. (We just might need the crib soon!) Kyle absolutely loves his new bed! The transition couldn't have gone smoother! Kyle only came downstairs once in the middle of the night (so far). The only downside is he now has a freedom he has never had before. He came downstairs this morning (before my alarm went off) telling me to wake up.

Kyle and Counting

Yesterday, Kyle and I were eating a snack. He picked up each cracker placing it in his other hand and when he was done proudly said to me "I have three." He did have three crackers in his hand!

The Number One

Kyle and I were building towers yesterday and he picked up a block and said to me, "It's number one." Sure enough, it was the number one. He's such a smart little boy!

Picnic

Monday (3/21/11), Kyle decided to have a picnic. Kyle and I had been playing in the backyard. I came in to get his plate ready for dinner. I cut up some carrots and turned around to put the knife away. When I turned back Kyle had taken his plate of carrots and was walking toward the back door. I watched as he opened the door (I must have not shut it good) and sat on the patio. He then happily ate his carrots.

Aquarium

We took Kyle to the aquarium on Friday. He had a great time! He loved looking at the fish, especially the sharks and sting rays! We then walked around the pond and looked a giant statue of an elephant. We all had a pretty good day. I think next time I'll try to remember not to take him during spring break. It was really crowded!

Kyle at 23 mos

Here are some things I want to remember.
Kyle will pick up something round like a lid and pretend to be driving a car!
Kyle has drawn me a picture of a house and an airplane!
Kyle speaks in short sentences and I can understand most of what he says.
When something is especially fun (such as going down the slide at the park), Kyle will ask for "More Wee".

Kyle's Favorite Colors

It appears that purple and orange are Kyle's favorite colors ... to snack on.

Christmas

Kyle had a wonderful Christmas. He played with all of his cousins! I think he got tired of them taking toys he considered his, but he was a good sport about it! I only had to step in once. He is such a big boy! We had a great time while I was off work!
