OK, here's something I hadn't intended on posting but have had for a while, a revision of strip #002. After sharing the new idea with our "test audience", we got a great big laugh. So here it is, just like new, only driven on Sundays ...

DomestiCity 005

Here's the strip for Friday. It's one of the earliest that Cristy and I worked on and is actually the follow up to number 1.
I want to thank my Aunt Jan for inspiring us to start creating the strips and motivating us to keep updating the info. Until she commented on the earliest posts, we honestly didn't know if anyone would be looking at our blog. Hopefully we can keep it going, at least until we can outnumber the drawings with baby pictures.

P.S. I'll be missing the first Texas Tech game this season in order to go to my niece's baptism but I'll be there in spirit. "Guns up!"

DomestiCity 004

Well I guess this is close enough to Wednesday for an update. This one I've been calling "an argument for maternity clothes." There'll be another strip on Friday as well.
I think Cristy's appetite is getting back to normal and she's been feeling better.
Which is a good thing as we will be having a fairly eventful weekend, attending the baptism for our niece Hannah and spending a lot of time with family. I'm sure you'll all be reading about the baptism on Jim and Juli's blog next week.

Nursery
These days I'm all about the nursery. I've been researching cribs and forcing Jay to look at every single one of them. I'm also considering a dresser instead of a changing table.
Jay and I are liking a circus theme for the room if it's a boy. Everybody loves the circus, don't you think? For a girl I was thinking teddy bears.
5 more weeks and we'll know if its bears or clowns!

DomestiCity 002
Cristy described this to me from one of her many doctor visits, so I had to draw it. Apparently the novel is fairly popular with expecting mothers. On a side note I promised my sister-in-law that I'd hide her name in my last Boz book but I wasn't able to. So Laura, I hid it in the strip. Happy hunting.

12 weeks 4 days
We went in for an ultrasound today. Everything looks good. They took measurements and the baby is healthy. Everything is on track. The baby's heart rate was 151.

DomestiCity 001
Wanted to share with everyone how the first trimester is coming along (or wrapping up, actually). In case you think that Cristy was mad at me for drawing this strip, she helped to write it. But she did get a little queasy every time she got to that last panel. :)-Jay

Doctor visit
I went to the doctor today for my 12 week visit. I got to hear the baby's heart beat. It is 163 beats per minute. According to an excellent source, this fast beat means we will be having a girl. Does anybody else have a prediction? We'll know for sure at week 20. We are both healthy.
Jay has been the sweetest expectant father ever. He has been making me dinner while I nap. He's done the dishes on multiple occasions. He's brought me cold washcloths when I get sick. I couldn't ask for a better husband.

I am due on Feb 20 and it still seems far far away. I am going in for my 12 week check up next week.
So far so good.
Jay or I will try to post again some time next week. Hopefully we'll have more pictures.

**Edit** Here's a couple pictures of Cristy and me from our trip to Iowa. See how she's glowing? On me its just sweat.
